These are the songs I wrote and recorded during my final semester of college, between my 21st birthday and graduation. Ted Coffey once said something about recording an entire album with one Shure SM-57, I think, and that’s basically what I did. I don’t say that to brag, or as an excuse. It just seems worth mentioning.

The song is probably not about you (but it might be). I’d like to use this space to recycle lyrics for songs I’ll never finish, but Skin Tight! started popping into my head over two years ago so now I’m scared to throw anything away. Anyway, writing a song is actually nothing like biting your fingernails, so there wouldn’t be much point in saying otherwise.

When you listen, imagine you’re in my apartment on 16th Street. Sadie’s sitting in the window. Just step over the plants to get to the door. It’s already unlocked.
